1 baguette or Italian bread (I used bake-at-home baguette)
6 tbsp tomato sauce
200 g Italian mozzarella, sliced
6 cherry vine tomatoes, halved
- Topping:
fresh basil, chopped
olive oil or balsamic vinegar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 2000C. Line baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cut the bread or baguette in half, lengthwise, into two halves. Spread tomato sauce over each half.
- Put 4-5 slices of Italian mozzarella on each half, depending on the size of your bread, then put cherry tomatoes between mozzarella slices.
- Bake bread on a baking tray for about 15 minutes (or until cheese is melted).
- Remove from the oven. Top with fresh basil and drizzle with olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Enjoy warm.
